We offer access to and use of a platform (the Service) where people who wish to find creative projects and/or business (Campaign Authors) can run campaigns to attract funding by offering rewards to raise money from other users (Contributors) and to other related Software.
Through the site, email, websites, and other media, the service makes accessible various content, including, but not limited to, videos, photographs, images, artwork, graphics, audio clips, comments, data, text, software, scripts, projects, other material and information, and associated trademarks and other works (Content).
Campaign Authors, Contributors, and other visitors to and users of the Service (Users) may have the ability to contribute, add, create, upload, submit, distribute, facilitate the distribution of, collect, post, or otherwise make accessible (Submit) Content. User Submissions means any Content Submitted by Users.
The Service is only available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age (and at least, the legal age in your jurisdiction). You represent and warrant that if you are an individual, you are at least 18 years old and of legal age in your jurisdiction to form a binding contract, and that all registration information you submit is accurate and truthful. Crowdfund Campus reserves the right to ask for proof of age from you and your account may be suspended until satisfactory proof of age is provided. Crowdfund Campus may, in its sole discretion, refuse to offer the Service to any person or entity and change its eligibility criteria at any time. This provision is void where prohibited by law and the right to access the Service is revoked in those jurisdictions.
We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue the Service (including, without limitation, the availability of any feature, database or content) at any time, for any reason. We may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict your access to parts or all of the Service, without notice or liability to you.
If you set up an account to use the Service as a Campaign Author, you are warranting that you are a student, staff, alumnus or have a personal connection to a partnered University.
Information provided on account set-up may be assessed by a Crowdfund Campus administrator and/or additional information or actions may be requested by us, before an account is activated and can be used. Following any assessment or requests for additional information or action, we reserve the right to refuse, at our sole discretion, any account request.
If an account request is refused you may not use an account or the Service and should contact us on support@crowdfundcampus.com, should you have any questions regarding the refusal.
We may disable any user name, password or account you have been given for any purpose, at any time if you have failed to comply with these terms.
By creating a fundraising campaign on Crowdfund Campus, as a Campaign Author, you are offering the public the opportunity to enter into a contract with you. By backing a fundraising campaign on Crowdfund Campus, as a Contributor, you accept that offer and upon such acceptance, the contract between the Contributor and Campaign Author shall be formed. Crowdfund Campus shall not be a party to that agreement and all dealings shall be solely between the Users.
Contributors must provide their payment information at the time they pledge to a campaign. The payment will be collected at or after the campaign deadline and only if the amount of money pledged as of the deadline is at least equal to the fundraising goal. The amount Contributors pledge is the amount they will be charged.
Contributors consent to Crowdfund Campus and its payments partners authorising or reserving a charge on their payment card or other payment method for any amount up to the full pledge at any time between the pledge and collection of the funds.
Contributors may increase, decrease, or cancel their pledge at any time during the fundraising campaign, except that they may not cancel or reduce their pledge if the campaign is in its final 24 hours and the cancellation or reduction would drop the campaign below its goal.
For all campaigns, Crowdfund Campus gives to the Campaign Author each Contributor’s name, email. and pledge amount.
Crowdfund Campus does not offer refunds. A Campaign Author is not required to grant a Contributor’s request for a refund unless the Campaign Author is unable or unwilling to fulfill the reward.
Campaign Authors may cancel or refund a Contributor’s pledge at any time and for any reason, and if they do so, are not required to fulfill the reward.
Because of occasional failures of payments from Contributors, Crowdfund Campus cannot guarantee the receipt by Campaign Authors of the amount pledged minus fees.
Crowdfund Campus and its payments partners will remove their fees before transmitting proceeds of a campaign. Fees may vary depending on region and other factors.
Crowdfund Campus reserves the right to cancel a pledge at any time and for any reason.
Crowdfund Campus reserves the right to reject, cancel, interrupt, remove, or suspend a campaign at any time and for any reason. Crowdfund Campus is not liable for any damages as a result of any of those actions. Crowdfund Campus’s policy is not to comment on the reasons for any of those actions.
Crowdfund Campus shall not be liable for any damage or loss incurred that relates to rewards or any other use of the Service. Crowdfund Campus shall be under no obligation to become involved in disputes between any Users, or between Users and any third party arising in connection with the use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, delivery of goods and services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties, or representations associated with campaigns on the site. Crowdfund Campus does not oversee the performance or punctuality of projects. Crowdfund Campus does not endorse any User Submissions. You release Crowdfund Campus, its officers, employees, agents, and successors in rights from claims, damages, and demands of every kind, known or unknown, suspected or unsuspected, disclosed or undisclosed, arising out of or in any way related to such disputes and the Service.
Joining Crowdfund Campus is free. However, we do charge fees for certain services. Changes to fees are effective after we provide you with notice by posting the changes on the site. You are responsible for paying all fees and taxes associated with your use of the Service.
If a project is connected to a University Partner and is successfully funded, Crowdfund Campus applies no fee to the total funds collected. In the UK, pledges are processed securely through a third-party payments processor. The payment system fees are available at https://stripe.com/gb/pricing
Software means the computer programs which may be the platform, the teaching tool or both and all user documentation in respect of such programs and any upgrade, maintenance release or new version thereof.
By using the Software you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Software.
In consideration of you agreeing to abide by these terms, we hereby grant to you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Software in the UK on the basis of these terms. You may use the Software for your internal business purpose.
We warrant that:
a) the Software will, when properly used, perform substantially in accordance with the functions described in the user documentation; and
b) the user documentation correctly describes the operation of the Software in all material respects for a period of 90 days from the date of first use of the Software (Warranty Period).
If, within the Warranty Period, you notify us in writing of any defect or fault in the Software as a result of which it fails to perform substantially in accordance with the user documentation, we will, at our sole option, either repair or replace the Software, provided that you make available all the information that may be necessary to assist us in resolving the defect or fault, including sufficient information to enable us to recreate the defect or fault.
The warranty does not apply:
a) if the defect or fault in the Software results from you having altered or modified the Software; or
b) if the defect or fault in the Software results from you having used the Software in breach of these terms.
You acknowledge that the Software may not be free of errors or bugs and you agree that the existence of any minor errors shall not constitute a breach of these terms.
You are responsible for all of your activity in connection with the Service and/or the Software and your use of the Service and/or the Software may be subject to other guidelines that we issue from time to time. We will inform you when any such guidelines are published and how you may obtain access to them.
You warrant that you will not, and will not permit any third party using your account to, take any action, or Submit Content, that:

a) is used only for the purpose of achieving inter-operability of the Software with another software program;

a) perform and market the Service on your behalf and on behalf of Crowdfund Campus’s other Users; and
b) fully use all and any User Submissions and trademarks.
Crowdfund Campus will terminate User accounts that infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
We shall not be held responsible for content posted on any account by an account holder and the views expressed shall be those of the account holder and not of Crowdfund Campus. You acknowledge that the Software has not been developed to meet your individual requirements and that it is therefore your responsibility to ensure that the facilities and functions of the Software as described in the user documentation meets your requirements.
We exclude all liability and responsibility for any loss or damage (including any indirect, special or consequential losses or any loss of profits, revenue, contracts, data or goodwill) that may result to you or a third party (whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise) arising from your use of the Service and/or Software or any content on any account or any websites linked to any account, subject to the clauses below.
The content we provide as part of the Service is provided on an ‘as is’ basis without any guarantees as to its accuracy and to the extent permitted by law and (except as otherwise provided in these terms) we exclude all representations and warranties (whether express or implied by law).
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, nor for any other matter for which it would be illegal for us to limit, exclude or attempt to limit or exclude our liability
You shall indemnify us for all loss or damage (including any indirect, special or consequential losses or any loss of profits, revenue, contracts, data or goodwill) that may result to us or a third party (whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise) from your failure to comply with these terms of use.
We will determine, in our sole discretion, whether there has been a breach of these terms through your use of our site. Where a breach of these terms has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate, including without limitation:
We may terminate your licence to use the Software immediately by written notice to you if you commit a material or persistent breach of these terms which you fail to remedy (if remediable) within 14 days after the service on you of written notice requiring you to do so. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, this will not affect the enforceability of any other part. These terms, together with any document referred to in these terms, constitute the whole agreement between you and us.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights or our obligations under these terms. You may only transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person if we agree in writing.
